If you want to create a web site, you need two things - your own domain name and a hosting plan for it. The domain registration is the actual website address that you enter in an Internet browser to access a website, while the hosting space is where your site data will be. These are two closely connected, yet independent services, although many people think that registering the domain name is enough. Much like the disk space and the monthly traffic features that a given web hosting plan offers, there are a certain number of registered domain names that you can add as hosted which means that you can have the web content for them in some account even if the domains have been registered using a different firm. In technical terms, it doesn't matter whether a domain is registered and hosted with the same company or is registered with one company and directed to another - either way your sites will operate the very same way.
